In which I become lazy and just do some good ol’ photo captioning.
Fans queuing up. I should mention that while we were waiting for the gates to open, Uncle A (Xander’s dad) has been roaming around and greeting everyone, even chatting up those who has been following him on Twitter (http://twitter.com/AnthonyEusebio). Quite a number of fans were able to take a photo with him, Mommy ChungMi and/or Victoria, and some may have uploaded it on the ‘net. However, I choose not to post them here because technically they are not public personalities (although Vica hosted the event) and I would like to respect their privacy.
This photo reminds me of another photo that I took last year.
This is part of a trivia game where the fans will guess if the statement is correct by choosing either YES or NO. I like Alexander’s answer to the soju question. He’s right, there’s no use pretending that he doesn’t drink or can only drink half a bottle of soju when his own father is a wine businessman. Besides, Xander is well beyond the legal age for drinking, anyway.
Remember my blog entry about the French guy whom I shared moshpit space with at LOR-Hong Kong? That white guy on the photo is that same guy. I saw him in another Kpop event in Hong Kong; I think he attends all of them.
Xander feeding his Xandwich to selected fans who flew all the way from their respective countries (that includes my friend Charity) just to attend the fanmeet. I just don’t know why they had to do it in that small corner of the stage where no one can see their faces…
Alexander performing his first solo single, Bad Girl (is this the correct title?). My review: Xander can already perform well as seen during his U-KISS days. However, he still projects a down-to-earth persona even while performing. While it is always good for a person to remain humble, a performer, particularly a SOLO performer, needs to project a ‘star’ aura whenever he’s on stage. Xander still lacks the ‘angst’ needed in the performance. I think he hasn’t totally weaned away from his being part of a group. I’ll cut him some slack; he has already improved so much compared to his earlier days, he is bound to improve some more with constant practice and exposure.
For the group photo, I was supposed to stand beside Charity on the other end of the line. Then I remembered that the blocking would look lopsided if both ‘big girls’ are on one side, so I said, “I’ll go to the other side, so it’ll be balanced.” I heard Xander say, “thank you!”. I also saw the photographer (who turned out to be not just a photographer) giving me a thumbs-up and saying, “good!”
I took gazillions of photos from the event + some pics taken by Charity, so I decided to upload it to another photo gallery. Please check out the photos at this link: Alexander’s fanmeet photos. Please feel free to spread around, but please avoid HOTLINKING the images and please give full credits. Thank you!
