Kilig.

Kilig is a Filipino word that defies an accurate English translation. I usually use the word ‘giddy’ when I translate it, but it doesn’t quite capture the exact feeling of it.

Thanks to the now-famous Kurt-Blaine scene at the latest episode of Glee (I hope I didn’t spoil anyone with this), I now have something that will accurately describe what kilig is. Kilig refers to the reaction of the TV viewing audience in this video:

The girl on the left side of the screen depicts it quite accurately with the way she bites and maims the pillow while watching. :hihihi:

It’s the rushing of blood to the head.. the heart pounding moment you feel when you been waiting for something to happen and it’s finally happening!!!!… I usually start hitting the person next to me when the feeling overwhelm me.. usually it’s my poor hubby… :evil:
