This Hong Kong concert madness is driving crazy.
At first it’s all hush-hush whispers behind the scenes; granted that the sources are reliable, but it’s best to wait until an official word has come out before finalizing anything. Now that a press release has been out and it matches what I knew from the hush-hush whispers behind the scenes, I don’t know which one to believe anymore. An excellent point has been made: the same scenario happened with the Macau concert, where the previous Cloudmaster even went to the extent of calling some people a fraud, and then ended up with the proverbial pie on the face when it turned out that the concert was confirmed AND the public was left with crumbs because the people who bought tickets from the pre-sellers got the best seats in the house. (Maybe that’s why she’s not the Cloudmaster anymore?)
Since Macau concert is probably the biggest regret I’ve ever had in my life - ok, maybe not the biggest, but it’s dangerously close - this Hong Kong concert thingy is driving me bonkers. I am constantly having a see-saw battle with myself since last week: should I stay or should I go? Money is not an easy thing to come by these days, especially after Ondoy. If I want to be practical, the concert should be a NO. But what if Rain is really going to military service in April 2010? I already missed the World Tour; should I miss this one again?
Why does loving Rain has to be this difficult?? AARGH.
===
On a related note: I’m probably the only Rain fan who is not panicking that he might be fulfilling his military duty in April 2010. I’m not panicking not because I don’t believe the news, in fact, I do believe that it might be true given the fact that his BFF Baekga is already there; I am not panicking because… I simply am not.

To be honest I’m not ready if he goes!!
But seriously, this is inevitable so I guess I’m gonna live with it. I’m really gonna miss him..
But the brighter side of it is when he comes back, it will be full throttle! His career will peak once again! My advice for you AgentP is just to go if you really want to. Take it from someone who most of the time doesn’t do what she really wants only to regret it later wishing I did everything I could. If it doesn’t give me a favorable result, I just say “at least I did everything. It really wasn’t just meant for me.” I find it better rather than torturing myself asking what ifs..
If he needs to go then go,I think I will not miss him. Maybe something will happen that will make him release from the army earlier, such as getting a sports medal for the country, being the father of a lovable twins that looks like hyekyo.
“being the father of a lovable twins that looks like hyekyo” - that’s such a brilliant idea winnie…I hope Bi is reading this….
I am gonna miss him, but since it’s a duty he needs to fulfill for his country..then we just have to accept it and continue to support him…anyway, im sure with his talent and achievements, it would be “no sweat” for him to regain his current position in the industry after his military service….beside, he needs to do it soon..he is not getting any younger…it’s much better to do it now than later…
military service in April 2010? Hooray!
Then J Tune will have Mblaq to carry on the torture
- in more ways than one.
I’m gonna go devil’s advocate on everyone and say this:
A lot of fans are like, the news can’t be true/a hoax, he is not required yet because he’s only 27, he’s at the peak of his career (O RLY?), etc.
Didn’t you ever wonder if maybe, just maybe, it’s JiHoon himself who wants to enlist this early?
I’ve just seen the GrEAT Korea CFs and all I can say is… why does he sound like Stephen Yan? (if you don’t know who Stephen Yan is, Google “Wok With Yan”)
Erm erm erm… I had to listen to him a second time before I could fully comprehend what he was saying. That’s all I am saying
HK concert would be my first time watching his concert. Why does it have to be this difficult and confusing?!
The Nov date is fine with me, but, can they just confirm everything already?
I haven’t even booked a flight yet - hello airline ticket prices!
As for him, going to the military, what’s panicking about him going to the military? I will be more panicked if he DOESN’T go.

you could get the tickets starting 23Oct 0:00am HK time….you just need to have a credit card to buy the ticket.
Did the site mention any venue for the concert?
leix: Are you confirmed to go? If you are, maybe you could join us. Mommy Chie is contacting travel agencies to get a good deal with the air tickets. If we book as a group, we might get a good discount.
The venue is airport expo … the expo near HK airport … the same venue for RWT.
The site also said, for overseas fans, they can hold the tickets until you come to collect them when you are in HK…if you buy in groups.
Good luck in deciding Pau!! I just hope everything will work out for you gals!
If you have extra money, I say GO. It might be one of the last few times you get to see RAIN in concert. Since military enlistment is something he has to do (not unless he has some good injury that he can get excused from it) we should all get ready for this eventuality. Two years is still a long time to be away, we shall cross the bridge when the day he crosses the threshold for military training happens, in the meantime GO. Regrets can come later….hehehe.
I think next year will be a good time for Bi to enlist for his 2 years mandatory military service. the faster he enlist, the faster he can come back.
regarding the HK concert, Ms. Pau, if you really want to go, then go. you might regret it if you dont go. saka ka na magsisi kung dapat kang may pagsisihan, heheheheheheheeh!!!!
Winnie or anyone who could read Chinese: I’m looking at the aegticketing site.
There are two 1280 sections there, what does that mean?Nevermind, I figured it out. One standing, one seated. Also, to anyone who has tried booking through this site before. Can we choose our seats here or is it like HKticketing where they will be the ones to assign the seats for you?
Lastly, to those who have attended the concerts: which one is better in terms of a better view of the show, VIP standing or VIP seating?
Thanks!
Pau, I think the computer will choose the seats for you. The seating plan is not yet out, but it seems that all the 1280 seatings are slanted, so that everyone can view the stage without block the one behind. For standing , it’s like filling the 2 holes of the letter ‘H’ lying down.
However, the final seating plan is not yet out, so not sure whether it is the final stage layout.
Thanks, Winnie. I’m watching LOR Japan now and checking out which section would be the best to pick.
Maybe I should get 1 night standing and 1 night seated?
You know what, I never realized until Winnie pointed it out that the LOR stage really IS in the shape of an H.
