Time 100? Again???

Ok, folks, it’s Time 100 once again, and of course, Rain is part of the online voting for the third consecutive year. And of course, Rain fans are on a voting frenzy to make him No. 1 on the online polls once again.

Seriously? We should stop doing this. Really. STOP IT.

The guy already had gone through a lot with all these court cases. As much as fans have complained regarding what TMZ wrote that Rain is known in the US only for his lawsuits, we must face the reality that yes, right now, he really IS known in the US for his lawsuits. That’s the truth and we all know it. Quit being in denial about this. And unfortunately, he just lost the first one. So what do we want now, put him at the center of ridicule on top of it all?

I love Rain and all that. I love him so much that I don’t want him to be hurt any further just because his fans are not thinking straight.

PS: I guess Warner Bros. also realized that Rain is not exactly a hot commodity at this time. Ninja Assassin has been moved once again to a November 2009 release date.

PPS: I bet I’m gonna be reading something like, “if Rain is not influential and is only known for his lawsuits, how come Time Magazine is including him at the Most Influential list again?”

Simple answer.

If you own a website, your goal is to achieve millions of hits for your site. Do I still have to explain this further?

  1. I’ve just checked the Time 100 site and found that Manny Pacquiao is also on the list. He’s ranked pretty low at the moment, though. It’s either the Pinoy netizens haven’t heard of this yet, or the Pinoy netizens don’t care about Pacman anymore.

  2. I voted N times last year..  But I think I have to pass this year because yeah, you have a point..we have to be logical to create a good impression of him..We might cost him the ridicule by voting at the poll for countless times, and it will turn out to be a joke if ever he gets to beat others like Obama for that matter..
