Like nearly everyone else, I got so excited when I saw the ticket prices. It’s relatively affordable compared to your usual K-pop event here in Manila, and the best part is that it’s for a good cause.

Some fans have expressed concerns about the length of Rain’s set (ie., how many songs) at the show. Understandable for practical reasons, but we have to remember that this is not Rain’s solo concert so a one-hour set is the best we could hope for. But for me, just the chance to see something like this in the flesh after seven years of waiting is enough for me to empty my pockets once again for this man.

Looking forward to see old and new faces at the Rise2Shine concert this November 3!

Just a random thought to end this blog entry:

As we were still reeling at the release of updates for Rain’s show, this piece of news popped out:

MYX.ph: Big Bang’s Seungri is coming to Manila!

We still haven’t recovered from G-Dragon and Taeyang. Now here comes Seungri having an event in Manila and it’s happening barely a week from now. So when is Daesung coming? Let us know as early as now, please. :hihihi:

The amusing part is, just recently, a post from nine years ago popped in at my On This Day feed at Facebook. It was about a petition spearheaded by Philippine K-pop Convention asking the Korean embassy to bring Korean artists to Manila.

Nine years ago, we had to file a petition for it to happen. In 2017, we are practically begging the promoters to go easy on us because there’s a Korean star having a concert or fanmeet in Manila nearly every month. What am I saying, in 2017, there’s a certified K-pop idol appearing on a Philippine TV show every weeknights.

Pigs are flying everywhere, folks.

  1. eheheh This is so funny!!!!! Wallet must be hurting from all these events!!! No one come to where we live!! always damn NY!!! Have fun!!!

  2. Thanks for the update AgentP! I would want to watch it (especially as you said the ticket prices aren’t as expensive). I’m more than willing to shell out P5,000 for Rain. I miss him. To be honest, nung nakita ko yung first teaser with the lines, “the one who started it all”, I had goosebumps. It felt like I was transported back to his “Its Raining” days. I miss him. :( I’m not so sure about the date though, November 3, galing pa ng holidays yan tapos I’ll be flying to Manila… I’ll try to talk to my husband about it.
